The given tables illustrate sales data of Fairtrade-labelled tea and pineapples between 2010 and 2015 in five countries of Europe.
Overall, the largest growth in the sales of tea was observed in France, taking the lead. Similarly, Austria dominated in the sales of pineapples, with the biggest growth of all time; however, the money made from selling tea in Germany and Norway didn’t change a lot.
Looking at tea sales in detail, the biggest growth in numbers was observed in France, increasing from 2.5 millions to a staggering 21 millions of euros over the five years. The sales in Austria was the second largest increase in the tea category, rising from 4 millions to 8 millions of euros at the end of 2015. Germany and Norway had the smallest changes in sales, only increasing by 0.2 millions.
On the other hand, Austria secured the lead in pineapple sales, while increasing threefold, from 16 millions to 48 millions between 2010 and 2015. The money generated from pineapple sales in France also increased noticeably, from just 2 millions to 6.5 millions of euros throughout the period. In contrast, Norway had experienced a decline in sales of pineapple, decreasing by 0.8 millions to 2 millions over the years.
