Two tables represent tourism in Australia during the period from 1991 to 1999. The first one tells us about foreigners who visited the country during these years, while the second one shows the numbers of residents who traveled abroad.
First of all, it is noticeable that in eight years the number of visitors from other countries increased more than two times. Australia saw the largest change in the arrival of foreigners in 1993, which was 15% from the previous year. The number was going up gradually; however, in 1997 it had a mere change of 3.7 percent of people, and then decreased in 1998 by 3.5 percent. Interestingly, in 1999 it experienced the same percentage of change as it did in the first year (7 percent). Moreover, it was the biggest number of visitors among all these years (4459510 million).
Australian citizens traveled much less than others, with little change in the number of people going away from the country every year. There was one slight fall in 1993 from 2276260 to 2267080 million, and after that it raised every year with a difference of more than 1 million people in contrast to the first year, being the highest.
Overall, the number of inbound visitors was always higher than citizens of the country.
