The environment and shops remained almost stable in their «good» ratings (71% and 60%, respectively), but both saw an increase in negative index.
The most notable negative shifts occurred in employment and transport. While positive views on employment rose to 72%, the proportion of people rating it as «bad» doubled from 10% in 1980 to 23% in 2010. Transport remained to be the city’s biggest weakness with its positive rating, which plummeted to 39% and its negative rating rising from 32% to 38%, making it the worst-rated aspect in both surveys.
