The columns illustrate responses from two surveys conducted in 1980 and 2010 regarding various features of city living in a specific urban area.
Overall, it is strikingly evident that both education and employment underwent an upward trend, whereas healthcare, environment, shops and transport followed a downward trend. Although healthcare topped the list in 1980, the education sector recorded the most significant proportion in 2010.
Education and environment indicated relatively identical percentages of satisfied people which is almost three quarters. Likewise, average and bad ratings revealed the same pattern over the course of 1980. They accounted for 22%-23% and 5%-6% respectively. While healthcare had 82% of satisfied with the service and a mere 8% with negative ratings, the opposite is the case with transportation which made up almost half in positive responses and over a third with dissatisfied experiences.
In terms of 2010, education was at the top and the bottom of good and bad results with 82% and approximately tenth respectively. Although the average rating for employment stood at 5%, transportation was nearly half. According to the data given, transportation witnessed a marked dip of 13%.
