These tables represent the results of 2 surveys done in 1980 and 2010 on the main aspects of city living in a certain city. The vertical axis on the left describes the various aspects, while the other ones shows the result in percentage. For each topic there are 3 possible values: good, neither good nor bad and bad.
Firstly, we could claim that the education system in this city was improved. In fact, the percentage of people who responded to this survey with good as increased by 10%, from 72% in 1980 to 82%. However, bad rose either, peaking a 9% in 2010 from the previous 5%. Similarly, the number of people who appreciated the employment situation in the city increased, as well as the number of people who didn’t like it, which more than doubled from 1980 to 2010.
On the other hand, helthcare and transport’s percentage of good responses decreased, respectively from 82% to 74% and from 52% to just 39%. Nevertheless, the number of people who claimed that these two aspectes are neither good nor bad, slightly rose from 1980 to 2010.
Finally, this survey shows that the situation of shops in the city remained almost flat. In particular, the percentage of neither good nor bad in 2010 was exactly those of 1980. A similar trend was followed by thoughts regarding the environment. Although the percentage of good slightly decreased from 72% to 71%, the percentage of bad in 2010 was more than double those of 1980, reaching a peak of 16% from the previous 6% in 1980.
