Task 1
The two charts illustrate the proportion of school-aged children who attend secondary school and the percentage of elderly men and women in higher education in four region in 2000.
Overall, it’s clear that the percentage of European students participation was the most pronounced in both categories, whereas both gender of Africa showed the lowest attendance. Notably, the figure of female participation was the higher at secondary school, that for men increased at the college.
Looking at the chart in more detail the percentage of European school-aged girls and boys recorded almost same rates, accounting for around 100%, making it the highest figure. While in East Asian both children participation was same, with 60%, the gap between Latin American counterpart rates was significantly, the share of females was 60% that of males stood at 50%. By contrasting Latin America, in Africa, the enrollment of boys was higher than girls, with 30%and 20%.
In terms of higher education, Europe was the only region where the share of females exceeded males (60%), with 70%, followed by that of Latin American and East Asia student rate of teaching, making up 20% and 10%.The participation of higher education level was the lowest in Africa, only under 10%.
