The two maps compare the current layout of a housing estate (property) with the planned changes after redevelopment.
Overall, the estate undergoes significant transformation, changing from a spacious area with large houses and various trees into a more organized residential zone with smaller houses, new public facilities and improved infrastructure.
Currently, the housing estate mainly consists of large four-bedroom houses spread out along a private road. However, in the future, all existing houses will be replaced with smaller residences ranging from one to three bedrooms. The shift to smaller houses reflects modern family planning, where the residents tend to have fewer children and prefer more living spaces that better suit their current needs.
Additionally, this change allows for more efficient use of lands, a flower garden will be added at the center of the estate, serving as a green focal point and a communal space for local people to relax. At present, the private road forms a curved loop around a few houses. In the new plan, it will be replaced by a hook-shared road, which is more convenient to make movement inside the area.
As a part of the reconstruction, the new structure will feature a lake on the left side of the road and a tennis court on the right. A new parking area will also be introduced at the bottom of the map, which was not present in the original design. These additions not only improve the infrastructure but also highlight a growing awareness among residents of the importance of physical health and activity lifestyles, as reflected in the inclusion of the tennis court. Moreover, the construction of a parking area points to the development of transportation needs and the increasing reliance on personal vehicles. Natural elements such as the lake and trees are reorganized concentratedly in a specific area. This helps improve the visual appeal and encourages a peaceful, eco-friendly lifestyle
