The two maps illustrate a small village in the west of Ireland between the year 2000 and at the present time.
Overall, there is a dramatic change in the right of the two maps from the year 2000 to the present day.
To begin with, farmland in 2000 changed to a park in the present day. In 2000, there were just 4 houses in the left corner of the map. But these days, there have been 10 houses on the left and 3 houses on the right of the map. Shops have not been changed.
Markets in 2000 were replaced by restaurants next to the river. Beside the hotel on the right map is the carpark. In 2000, there was a dock but now it does not exist.
