The maps illustrate the changes that have taken place at Olympic and Paralympic village from 2000 until the present moment.
Overall, while the size of the village has roughly remained the same, there have been several changes. The most noticeable features are the extension of car park and a road has been constructed, connecting the car park to the athlete accommodations.
The car park beside the welcome centre has been expanded towards northwest. The welcome centre has been shifted from south to north replacing it with media centre. The area of fitness centre has been doubled. In addition, a village square has been built to left of flowing water towards the north.
The empty building in the south of the village has transformed as medical building, the trees to the right side of empty building were demolished and has been replaced with two buildings of athlete accommodation. The car park in the southeast corner has moved to northeast, leaving the space for multi-faith centre. The athlete accommodation in the northeast has been allocated to disabled individuals.
In conclusion, another road has been built in between the village to make all the facilities more accessible from the car park.
