The maps given below of the Olympic and Paralympic Village show the developments that have taken place between the year 2000 and the present day.
It is evident that the village has undergone many changes and improvements in the time frame considered. The roads have been developed and new facilities have been added. The car parking area has been extended northwards to enable more cars to be parked and a proper road had been made for easy commute to the athlete accommodation and another car park in the north-eastern part of the village.
The fitness centre, which was smaller in the year 2000, has been expanded. The welcome centre which was adjacent to the car park has been shifted in front of the fitness centre along with the village square. The empty building in the year 2000 has been converted to a medical building and a media centre has also been opened near the big car park.
The number of athlete accommodations has been increased from 2 to 4 including one for disabled athletes. A multi-faith centre has been made the south-eastern part of the village.
The Village has undergone many developments since 2000 with many added facilities and better roads, thus enhancing connectivity.
