The two maps above illustrate the changes that have taken place in the Olympic and Paralympic village from 2000 to the present year. We can observe several major alterations in the positioning and expansion of various areas within the village. Additionally, a few new facilities have been constructed over the years.
To begin with, compared to the fitness center and car parking area in 2000, both the fitness center and car parking area have expanded into much larger spaces. Furthermore, we can see that the welcome center, which was previously located in the south, has now been replaced by the media center. The welcome center has been relocated to the west side of the village.
In addition to these changes, several new facilities have been added to the village, including the medical building, Village Square, accommodation for disabled athletes, a multi-faith center, and another athlete accommodation area with an expanded car parking area.
In summary, significant development has occurred in the Olympic and Paralympic village from 2000 to 2024.
