Overall, Dalton in 2 centuries ago it just a small village with a lot of trees and space, then it transformed into larger and more developed cities. Most of the natural and agricultural features disappeared, giving way to housing, shops, and transport infrastructure.

In 1815, Dalton was mainly farmland, woodland, and open fields. There were only a few houses near the trail and Hall Farm next to Bridleway. By 2015, the forest was cut down to make way for a new hospital and an industrial zone, the pathway was upgraded to main road, and Hall Farm was demolished to be replaced by a school. The large number of houses grew substantially.

Next, changes occurred throughout the town. The Bridleway was changed and replaced by the bridge. To the east, Dalton Hall was converted into a hotel and a new airport was built south of the river.
