The picture depicts how Dalton town has changed from 1815 to 2015
Overall, Dalton experienced major transformation with natural and agricultural features such as the introduction of a school in the east, existence of an industrial zone in the western area and the construction of an airport in the south.
In the western part of map, Dalton Forest took a lot of room with trees in 1815. However, notably in the next two centuries, these trees were removed to construct an industrial zone. Moreover, in the southern west, three factories were also built. In the northern area, a hospital existed along the path which was in the middle of the map to replace an empty ground before. Additionally, in the middle of the map, there were various trees in 1815 which were cleared to make way for a school and some residential housing in 2015.
In the Eastern part of picture, this area was used for local housing and livestock activities in 1815 while this location remained many residential housings and constructed more ones. Notably, a hotel was constructed instead of raising livestock. In the southern part, Hall Farm, housing and livestock existed in 1815 which disappeared to make room for an airport in the next 200 years.
