The two pictures compare the town of Denham in 1986 and its present layout following renovations. Overall, it is clear that the size of the town remains unchanged. Also noticeable is that more houses have been built, replacing all the farmland to meet growing demand.
There are some main changes with the main road, farmland and houses from 1986 to the present day. In 1986, the main road ran across the town, but now it has branched out to both sides. Also, in 1986, the farmland located in the southwest and northeast, which used to raise cattle, disappeared completely and was replaced by a lot of houses at the present. There were only a few houses next to the main road and just only in the northern area in 1986. However, it has increased significantly along the main road and its branches at the present.
Regarding other facilities, two shops have been removed, while the post office and the bridge have remained unchanged since 1986. The gardens have shrunk, but the large house has been expanded into a retirement home. Also, the primary school is still there but it has been expanded.
