The given maps illustrates how the town of Denham has changed from 1986 to nowadays.
Overall, there is an increase in the number of houses and roads at the present comparing to the past. Beside, the main road, River Stoke and the bridge remained unchange through the period.
In 1989, most of the land in the town was used for farming activities. There were houses and some services such as post office and shops on the west side of the only road in the town. A primary school located on the opposite side with some houses nearby. Going down from the school to the south, an big area was used for large house and gardens with trees.
At the present, two farmlands were replaced by a large number of houses, with the south one becomes an area for the house of residents. As the shops are disapeared, there are new roads on the north sides of the post office and the primary school. Beside the extendence of the shool, large house with gaderns is removed to make way for retirement home. In addition, a lots of houses are built from the start to the end of the main road. However, the middle road and River Stoke stay unchange from then to now.
