The maps below illustrated a layout of Tiden airport and the surrounding area in two years (in 1985 and in 2015). Looking from the overall perspective, the most noticeable change that planned to be implanted in the neighborhood is the construction of necessary infrastructures, new roads and changing a location of some buildings.
In 1985, there was a Johnson’s farm to the north of outside airport’s area. At the other end there were factories. The international and domestic terminals were located next to the runway and were connected with the car park by road. The building of the airport support services was lied between factories and car park.
Since 2015, all factories have been demolished and there were located airport support services, the hotel and conference centre after that. A light rail linked the bus and the light rail station with the city of Tiden. Moreover, there was a new runway near the international terminal.
Another striking difference was an appearance of a business park and housing estate, that were constructed on the Johnson’s farm.
To sum up, significant developments took place over given period, which resulted in creation of modern and international airport
