The pie charts illustrate the proportions of various industrial elements’ contribution to Turkish economy in 2000 and 2006.
Overall, while the value for Leisure & Hospitality, Government, and Agriculture decreased, the inverse was true for all others except Healthcare & Education, which did not vary over the given period.
In 2000, Agriculture ranked 1st, at nearly a quarter, but dived by about half to 14% in 2016. Similarly, the value for Government and Leisure & Hospitality experienced a loss of an insignificant minority from 12% and 17% to 9% and 14%, respectively. The only exception to this pattern of economic contribution was Healthcare & Education since its figure remained stable, at 17%, over the recorded period.
Construction value in 2016 about tripled that in the former, which was recorded at 10% and 3%, respectively. All other categories, including Finance, Business and Other, Manufacturing, and Trade, Utilities and Transportation, gained an addition of a tiny fraction for their figures, which was noticed at 3%, 2%, and 4%, respectively.
