The map illustrates the two different plans of a Townsville Sports Centre, in 1995 and the modifications that have been made in 2015.

Overall, the sports centre has been expanded and addition of several facilities.

Initially, in 1995 the sports centre offered limited services to its customers like swimming pool and an extra room for changing right next to the pool. On the west, it had a reception for guests for any assistance and query. Consequently, it was benefited by a huge restaurant that was opposite to the swimming pool, a gym was located next to the restaurant. Furthermore, a long football pitch towards the east was constructed and had been separated from the sports centre.

Moreover, the new sports centre in 2015, consisted numerous facilities for recreation and physical activities. Changing rooms were transformed into a sauna and a shower area was added with swimming pool. Subsequently, reception area is well utilized by changing rooms and a separate section for disabled people. Restaurant has been replaced with reception on the south, accompanied by a small. However, gym area has been extended. Football pitch was modified in a sports hall within the sports centre in a 2015 plan.
