The maps above illustrate the city library’s blueprint in 2004 and 2014. Primarily, the rooms and facilities remain the same, although there is a notable addition: a cafe and computer-related facilities.
In 2004, the reception desk was followed by the reference room, which later was merged with academic articles. Also, the outdoor area at the back of this room was enabled as a performance area in 2014.
Additionally, the general collection of the library was located on the north side of the building. In 2004, there were five rooms in this area with fiction, non-fiction, children’s stories, and magazines. However, there was an expansion of the facilities, adding movies and computer games as the fifth room in 2014.
Finally, they convert the southern area into an excursion and leisure site. The art gallery and the gift store were put together with the cafe. Functioning the empty area as the academic journals reference room was omitted in 2014. Similarly, a new facility was adjusted with the computer and media room, occupying the former gift store and art exhibition site.
