Overall, a comparison of two maps reveals a complete transformation from an almost uninhabited and explored island to a mainly touristic area.
In the past, the island was much greener with a large number of palms and natural spring, but during the next years, the land saw a number of significant changes. The most noticeable is that the Scientific Research Station was demolished and replaced with a hotel complex and swimming pool by side. All trees were chopped down to make a new restaurant, roads and pathways all over the land and BBQ area.
In contrast, the natural spring on the rights side of the map and the rocks which a little further were remained but the café, recreation area and scenic look appeared next to them. Further developments was the cycle path along the edge of the entire island. The pier which was situated on the left side of the map was rebuilt and became big butger and the boat was substitute with a modern cruise ship. Also the beach remains and swimming there is permitted
