The bar chart presents data from a 2010 survey of 5,000 British newlywed couples, illustrating their top eight honeymoon destinations. The destinations shown are Spain, Paris, Thailand, the Lake District, the Maldives, the Greek Islands, Bali, and Costa Rica.
In general, it is clear that Thailand was the most popular destination, while more exotic locations such as the Maldives and the Greek Islands had fewer couples opting for them. A clear distinction is evident between the most and least popular choices.
Among the eight destinations, Thailand emerged as the clear leader, with over 1400 couples choosing it for their honeymoon. Following Thailand, Bali attracted 1335 honeymooners, slightly lower than Thailand, yet still a popular choice.
On the other hand, the Lake District and Spain were the least preferred, with just 124 and 140 newlyweds choosing these locations, respectively. Despite being a symbol for lovers, Paris was one of the least popular choice, which was chosen by only 209 couples.
