In 2000 Singapore led the upward trend with 460 thousand citizens who used landline telephones, while number of people in Brunei Darussalam was almost half as much. Meanwhile, Myanmar had sharply plunged to the point of approximately 2 thousand. Over the next two years, Singapore slightly decreased in amount of owners and decreased to 455. However, Myanmar leveled off and did not make any changes in proportion. Brunei Darussalam gradually went up by 6 thousand people and stabilized at the level of 256. Until 2004, trends for owning a landline phone had lost popularity. In Singapore the amount had dipped to 430 thousand. Although, in Brunei Darussalam it had steadily plummeted to 246.
Overall, it does not illustrate a visible change. All countries had remained almost stable over the years. The lowest trend was led by Myanmar, while the highest by Singapore.
