The three pie charts illustrate the players of electronic games in South Korea in 2003, according to age, gender and types of games.
Overall, people at the age of under 18 accounted for the highest proportion, whereas male players played more electronic games than female players. It is also noticeable that action games made up the largest share.
Regarding age of players, people in the under 18 age group emerged as the leading category, with 39%. Followed closely behind, 18 to 36 year olds represented 38%. Only a few players aged above 36 chose to play electronic games, constituting 23%. In terms of gender, there was a huge disparity between male players (72%) and female players (28%).
Next turning to types of games they favoured, nearly half of the total players were keen on playing Actions. In second and third place were Sports and Racing, with figures being 20% and 17%, respectively. Meanwhile, a marginal proportion was seen in people who had interest in Education (7%), Role-playing games (7%) and Others (6%).
