Overall, male players accounted for a significantly larger proportion than females, and people aged 18-35 formed the largest age group. In terms of game types, action games were by far the most popular category.
Looking first at gender, males made up 72% of players, while females represented only 28%, indicating a clear dominance of male gamers in Korea at that time.
Regarding age distribution, the largest segment consisted of players aged 18 to 35, at 42%. This was followed by those over 35, who accounted for 35%, while the youngest group, under 18, comprised the smallest proportion at 23%.
In terms of best-selling genres, action games were the most popular, representing 42% of total sales. Sports games were the second most common category at 21%, followed by racing games at 17%. By contrast, role-playing and educational games each accounted for only 7%, and other types made up the remaining 6%.
