Dear Pat,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing this letter to inform you regarding the matter of a farewell party I have promised you I would organise for you.
Unfortunately, due to force majuere in the past week, I am unable to acquire some of my responsibilities that I need to address. Specifically, I had a tough time contacting the venue to book it in accordance of the date we pleased. I also wasn’t able to secure the Master of Ceremony that we had compromised. I had every intention to make this farewell party as memorable as I can, therefore I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience that happened.
You deserve a proper celebration that rewards your dedication. Therefore, I would like to offer some alternative options. Perhaps we can arrange a smaller lunch or dinner at the restaurant near the river with the team if you fancy, at any time that could work for you. I would be delighted to talk about it at your earliest convenience.
It has been a pleasure to work alongside you. Your professionalism, attitude, and personality would always be remembered. I hope the best for your future endeavours.
Shall you have any questions or need further information, do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Laura
