Overall, Canada and European community showed a nearly similar pattern of ups and downs with Canada exporting the maximum amount of wheat (25 million tons) in 1989. On the contrary the trade of wheat by Australia registered a gradual decline after a slight peak in 1986.
Opening with 15 million tons export of wheat in 1985, Australia rose to just above 16 million is next year. This growth was later replaced by a constant collapse until 1989 and1990 where a steady level of export is recorded. Furthermore, a volatility in the quantity of export is evident in the case of Canada which started off at just below 20 million tons, followed by a minor dip, and then reaching the highest point in graph at 25 million tons in tear 1989.
Following an alike pattern, Europe also takes off at near 17 MT, with a subsequent fall, and ultimately reaching its top sales at just above 20 MT.
