Overall, it is clear that the number of people using the Internet over the years skyrocketed significantly over the years, while the majority of people who used the Internet in 2003 was either Europeans or North Americans.
The year 2002 witnessed a surge from only 26 million individuals to a shocking 580 millions. It is also obvious that in 2003, the countries with the most people using the internet was the US and Canada, 2 of the biggest country in North America, while the Middle East had the lowest number of people using the Internet, only making up 1% of the total headcount.
Another striking difference from the charts is Africa is also the least people using the internet along with the Middle East. While the estimated number of individuals using the Internet only grew notably from 1999 to 2000, while from 1995 to 1999 only rose gradually.
