Dear Sir or Madam,
I’ve lived in the Military Trail for a long time. In addition to expressing my disapproval of the planned closure of the children’s playground on Neilson Street, I’m writing to offer suggestions for how the play area could be enhanced for the benefit of the neighborhood kids.
It is accurate to say that the neighborhood kids have not been using the playground. This is because there aren’t many play amenities that may entice kids to attend the park, and the play area hasn’t been kept up properly. In addition, the climbing frames are completely rusted, the foot area of the slides is muddy, and there are only two swings. Parents forego letting their kids play in the park because they are concerned about their health.
As is well known, children’s traditional games and play have been supplanted by computers and other digital devices. As a result, children will have yet another excuse not to play outside if the local authority closes the playground.
I have some ideas about how the park could be made better for the locals. First, a few more recreational facilities could be installed by the local council; second, rusting equipment could be replaced with more environmentally friendly options; and third, the muddy area could be replaced with grass and flowers, which would also improve the play area’s aesthetic appeal. A bright future for our children could result from making such an investment in their well-being.
Yours faithfully,
Sapna
