Dear Pat,

I’m writing this because I’ve heard that you will be performing voluntary job at a festival.

Currently, I’m looking for some volunteer experiences as the university that I’m applying to has outlined that they wanted proof of at least five years or more of volunteer work experience.

I would love to join you for some volunteer work, and also for me to collect some work experience. But so far, I’m not very sure about the type of task that I need to perform when I’m working for them. I need to know this because it allows me to prepare better in case I get hired.

Before I go, can you ask your organisers if they still have any spot open for me. If they said yes, tell them to reply to this email so I can proceed with the job applications.
