Band 7+: Write a letter to your local council that the road in front of your house is damaged. In your letter, you should: -tell him your name and where you are living -describe the problem -suggest what you want him to do for it.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing regarding the pavement of the road that has been destroyed by the massive flood, from small potholes to largen ones, by vehicles that have driven on it in front of my dwelling.

My name is Srijan Kayastha, a responsible and disciplined citizen. I reside near Walmart, and just around the corner, with full window panes, is my home. It’s address is 313 Old Quarry Rd, which should not be difficult to find, there is a large playground in fornt of my house.

With the continuous flooding and vehicles running into the potholes, they are getting larger, and my neighbors and I are worried. Perhaps someday a child may fall into one and be seriously injured. Just yesterday, my brother’s son fell and was seriously injured, requiring treatment that has resulted in financial loss and disruption to his studies.

To prevent this from happening again, I respectfully request that you come to check the road condition and fix the problem, or that you call the appropriate department. Until the road is fully paved, I request that emergency services be stationed near the construction zone, in case of an emergency.
