Dear Mr. Brannagan,
I am writing in regard to my absence from the annual company event on yesterday’s morning.
First off, I would like to formally apologize for not showing up at this big celebration due to my attendance to the smart grid event held at my father’s work.
As you know, my father had a car accident recently and he still recovering at the hospital. However, his appearance in that occasion is crucial because of his position as a CEO. As a result, he asked me to be there to cover for him and I could not refuse.
In order to catch up on the annual reports that I was responsible for writing about the event, I have arranged with my colleague Sara thanks to her, to work together and finish it by tomorrow as requested. She has recorded all the details needed and we will go today on the lunch break to complete them.
I apologize once again and thank you for understanding.
Best regards,
Hessa Aleissa
