Dear John,

Hope all is well with you. It feels great to hear from you after so long.

I’m planning to take IELTS general test in a week. Although one week is a short period to achieve great score ,I’m giving my best to at least attain an overall 7 band ,which is possible with self preparation .I got some material from the nearest library and using youtube to cover base few topics.

I’m quiet tensed about this sudden decision but the score requirement is not high so that’s a relief .I initially planned on taking a paper based test ,but I need the results immediately . So, I switched to computer based one .The only worry with this format is I need to stare at the screen continuously and be really good at typing. I am committing few typing errors on mock tests, hope I’d get better before the test.

I’m good at reading and listening so far so I expect a band 8 in these .I’m still working on my writing an d speaking sections to become better compared to my previous academic test .Last time when I took this test I did it only for immigration purposes but now I genuinely want to check my level .I”ll let you know my score after I get the result.
