The table shows the ten countries where fuel cost is most expensive and provides a breakdown of average monthly income to average fuel expenditure.

Overall, the average monthly income for residents of Europe is significantly higher than people living in Asia and Africa. Moreover, the average fuel expenditure is comparably similar in all the countries irrespective of the difference of average income.

There is a huge gap between average salaries among the continents. People living in Norway earn 3 times more than Turkish people. This is further increased when compared with the average salary for Eritrea, which is 10 times less. In addition to this, every European country has an average income of at least $1000, whereas, Turkey stands at $924.64 and Eritrea at $450 only.

Even with the difference in salaries, the average fuel expenditure for all the countries is almost the same with Norway and Turkey having $319.85 and $315.96 respectively. Even though the average salary in Sweden is 9 times more than Eritrea, both spend $275 on fuel.
