The line graph illustrates the unemployment rate in Australia’s urban and rural area in four quarters of year 2012. The figure is presented in percentage.
Overall, the unemployment in rural area is high throughout the year but at the end of the year, numner of unemployed people became nearly same in both areas.
In rural area, nearly 6.5 percentage of total population was enemployed at the begining of the year,which declined thoughtout the first half of the year and reached the lowest point around 4.5. Then it seem to increase in third quarter of the year. The rate fluctuated in last three months of the year and remain at 5 percentage at the end.
As for urban area, the unemployment people’s percentage was just above 2 %, which start to increase and reached 4 % at end of second quarter. After that there is sudden drop in between second and third quarter which again started an upward movement settling just below 5 percentage at the end of the year.
