The two maps illustrate the layout of a place called the Stokeford from 1930 to 2010
To begin, one interesting change was that the gardens area toward the east direction in 1930 had been turn into retirement homes and create a road that had been joined with the main road in the year 2010. Meanwhile, another striking change was happened in the main centre area of the stokeford which was quite close to river stroke, a farmland was demolished, making a space for constructing roundabout and building houses.
Furthermore, the shops which was beside the post office, were knocked down, and a block of new houses were built in its place. Additionally, although foot track and farmland in the eastern direction were removed completely, while primary school building, river bridge and post office remained the same between 1930 to 2010.
Overall, it is vividly manifested that there has been enormous changes in the town of stokeford. From gardens, farmland and shops had been replace into retirement homes, roundabout, and houses. Whilst, some buildings was unchangeable.
