Dear Mr Smith,
I am one of your tenants at Flat 4, 12 Flower Road, and I am writing to express my family’s dissatisfaction with several pieces of furniture supplied with the apartment.
I moved in only last month after a sudden transfer to London for work. Although the flat itself is pleasant, the double-bed frame and matching mattress in the main bedroom give us serious concern. The timber slats are loose and partly rotten, so the frame creaks loudly whenever someone turns over, and the mattress sags badly in the centre. In addition, both pantry-cupboard doors in the kitchen have cracked hinges and cannot close properly, making it difficult to store food safely.
Could you kindly arrange for a qualified carpenter or maintenance person to inspect these items at your earliest convenience? Ideally, the bed and mattress should be replaced, and the cupboard doors either repaired or refitted. I am available any weekday after 6 p.m. and all day Saturday to grant access.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to your reply.
Kind regards,
John
