Dear Lora,
I am writing to apologise for losing a library book I borrowed last week. I understand the library rules and wish to resolve this matter promptly.
The missing book is *Introduction to Business Management* by James Carter. I borrowed it to help with a college project. I last had it in the common room, and I suspect I left it on a table. When I returned, it was no longer there.
I would like to offer to replace the book or pay for any fees. Please let me know what you recommend. I sincerely regret the inconvenience and would like to make it right.
Thank you for your understanding and assistance.
Kind regards,
Mary Miles
