Dear Sir/Madam,

I am an international student pursuing my 2nd year in Master’s of Applied Computing. My professor is Dr. Fatima and I am a full-time student and I live near to university.

I am writing to request a week’s leave from university next month. My sister’s wedding is taking place starting 25th May and as its my own sister’s wedding I need to be there to take on few responsibilities as my parents are quite old. It would be great if you could give me one week’s permission so that I can travel to my country, finish all the festivities and head back. Although this means to miss all the lectures, I would ask my friend for all the notes and make it up to all the classes missed.

I would request you to grant me permission one week starting from March 15th. If you are kind enough to me allow this, I will be speaking to my lecturer and arrange everything when I am away.
