In general, the highest percentage of internet users lie in the age group of 18-24 years. Similarly, the lowest percentage of internet users can be found in the age group above 65 years.
More specifically, 18-24 years age group has 80 percent of internet users. For 25-34 years category, this is equivalent to 77 percent. Followed by 35-44 years category having a percentage of 70 percent. Then 45-54 years age group with 65 percent internet users. Thereafter, with a percentage of 50 percent, 55 – 64 years age group. And lastly, the 65 plus age group with only 35 percent internet users.
In summary, the younger population has more active internet users, this percentage is decreasing with the increase in the age, showing an inverse relationship between age group and internet usage.
