The graph provide information about the rise in the inhabitant of a city between 1970 to 2020.

Overall, there was a significant increase throughtout the period although the number of individuals slightly reduced in the final decade.

From 1970 to 1980, there was a neglegible change of approximately 2.2 million to around 2.3 million. The figure rose by 0.5 million in 1990, there was a significant increase in the number of city dwellers throughout the two decades of 1990 to 2010. There was a peak reached in 2010 of just under 3 million which accounted for the highest population growth. In 2020, there was a slight reduction in urban residents from 3 million to around 2.9 million. This drop is relatively insignificant as compared to the dramatic increase in the urban dwellers.
