Dear Mr. Cummins,
I am writing to bring to your attention the ongoing issue of excessive noise generated by the new campus restaurant, particularly concerning for the students residing in the college hostel nearby. While the establishment provides a convenient dining option for students lacking cooking skills and those seeking late-night refreshments while studying, it has unfortunately resulted in disturbances due to some students abusing the late-night services.
The disruptive behavior of staying and creating noise late into the night has been significantly affecting the sleeping patterns and overall well-being of other students living in the university residence. The recent incident of midnight honking in the restaurant’s parking area further exacerbated the situation, leading to increased discomfort and sleep disruption among the residents.
In order to address this issue, I propose implementing changes to mitigate the noise disturbances. Firstly, reducing the operating hours of the canteen from midnight to 11:00 pm on weekdays would help in minimizing late-night activities and noise levels. Additionally, installing a ‘No Honking’ sign board in the canteen’s parking area can deter disruptive behavior and promote a quieter environment for all residents.
I kindly urge you to take necessary actions to resolve this matter promptly and restore a peaceful living environment for students in the university residence.
Thank you for your attention to this concern.
Yours sincerely,
