Dear friend,

I hope this letter find you in high spirits! My apologies for not being able to attend your party, but I am making it up via this letter; atleast I hope so.

As we our friends since last 10 years and you consider me as your one of the closest friend; I still couldn’t be able to make it to your party. I am extremely sorry!

Actually, on that day, my mother fell from the stairs and got a serious injury. She was in terrible pain at that moment. I immediatly rushed her to the hospital. Thankfully! we reached hospital on time and doctors saved her leg. That’s the reason I didn’t left my mother at home by her own and stayed with her because she really needed my support both physically and mentally. Unfortunately, I couln’t even texted you at that time as I don’t want to ruin your excitement.

So, in order to apologise for not being there at your party and to uplift your mood, I have found a fantastic place for a dinner; I am inviting you and your family to join me over there. It’s just 10 minutes away from my place. Catch you there at 8:00 P.M. I hope this gesture from my side will compensate for my absence.
