Dear madam

I am writing in regard of the newly employed Nurse that resumed two weeks ago in my unit. Mrs eze , always come to work late and takes longer time to takeover duty from other colleagues.

Although, we have complained to the ward manager concerning her constant lateness to work from first day she started working with us. However ward matron have cautioned her severally but is getting worst everyday.

Furthermore, my other colleagues complains how she comes to work two hours late, And also delay before takingover duty despite not ressuming on time . Hence, her constant lateness is begging to affect patient care because after a long stressful shift, they are exhausted and cant continue Nursing care efficiently. In addition, her manner and tone that she uses when asked to explain her reasons for unpunctuality is not remorseful. Everyone in my unit is no longer comfortable with her misconduct.

Meanwhile, i will appreciate if you take active steps towards ensuring that this unprofessional conduct are properly tackled. I suggest counseling her and shifting her to a different unit with strict ward matrone to monitor her closely.
