Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this to express my concern about the article I read in your Tuesday Daily Times magazine about Shiro town. I would like to inform you that the information provided by your magazine is false.
First, I would like to correct the statement and dialogue that says that old people and middle-aged people are very unfriendly, rude, and racist. I have lived in this town since my childhood, and I can say that the people of Shiro are the most pleasant people to have ever existed. We are friendly and welcoming to tourists and visitors irrespective of skin colour and race.
It is very essential for the magazine to portray the people from my town in a good manner because the town survives on tourism; a bad reputation about them will reduce the amount of visitors coming to Shiro, and this will in turn affect the town’s growth.
However, I would suggest that you correct this in your next Tuesday magazine so as not to send the wrong message about town to outsiders. Also reinstate your words, “Old folks are very hostile towards white people.”
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to your response.
Yours faithfully,
Afolabi Success.
