To the Editor,
I am writing to share my ideas of good manners and their significance at the moment. I am assured that following etiquette is a rare occasion currently, but it is considered to be the indicator of right upbringing.
Nowadays adherence to politeness norms is becoming less common, although even minor actions towards others are able to foster communication. One of the greatest examples of manners is not interrupting others, while they are speaking. This illustrates that a person is interested in the conversation and respects the speaker. Another instance of following etiquette rules is not littering in the street or in public places. When someone throws rubbish on land, they devalue the labor of cleaners, who regularly take care of tidiness outside. Applying simple norms of behavior demonstrates upbringing of a person and his attitude towards other people, which can extremely help to create the image of a decent person in society and improve interaction with others.
Good manners serve an invaluable role. They are not only formal words and actions, but also ways of making pleasant impression about a person and creating friendly atmosphere in community. In a world deprived of ethical norms people would not be able to build respectful relationships with one another due to their rudeness, if no one estimated the value of politeness. Thus, if individuals desire to maintain comfortable environment in society, they need to follow etiquette rules.
Yours faithfully,
Taissiya.
