Band 6+: You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement, and you find it very difficult to work. Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter, • describe the situation • explain your problems and why it is difficult to work • say what kind of accommodation you would prefer Write at least 150 words. Dear Sir,

I would like to ask for your help due to my inconvenient dormitory in college. As the previous arrangement, I am staying in room 504 with a Japanese student. However, our facilities in the room are very bad and we can not use some of the appliance, which makes us feel very uncomfortable.

First of all, the lights in the hallways are broken, so it has been very dark in the afternoon until the evening. It made us not only feel unsafe but also have difficulty opening our door.

Secondly, the water in our room seems to be genuinely dirty and we can not even use it up to this time.

Thirdly, there are many insects in our room although we always clean it every day.

This is the reason why I would like to change our room to a new one. It is better for us if a new room is also on the fifth floor to move our items easily. Moreover, I hope the water in the new room is clean and clear because it affects our studies a lot.
