The illustration displays the production process of ethanol, which is a biofuel. The process goes under three main procedures; which are harvesting, pre-processing and processing.
Firstly, the plants and trees are being harvested after they get the necessary energy from sunlight and carbon dioxide. The further step involves the pre-processing of the materials harvested from plants. The cellulose is produced as a result. Then the procedure is followed by the processing of cellulose into sugars. Lastly, microbes are added into generated sugar. Ethanol is produced, when this activity is fully finished.
The ethanol is used as a fuel for various transportation vehicles as cars, trucks and planes. During the utilization stage, carbon dioxide is being converted into air. Carbon dioxide then is absorbed by the trees and plants during growth period, which is the main component of ethanol. Then the cycle continues for the making of this biofuel.
