The pie charts compare the methods of hazardous waste disposal in three nations (the United Kingdom, the Republic of Korea, and Sweden).
Overall, underground disposal is the most prevalent approach in the UK and Sweden, whereas in the Republic of Korea, recycling is the major way of managing this problem. It is also noteworthy that the UK employs a greater variety of waste treatment methods.
In Korea, recycling is responsible for the most significant share of dangerous waste at 69%, while a smaller 22% is spent on underground disposal, respectively. The remaining 8% is dealt with by incineration.
On the other hand, in Sweden, the largest proportion of waste is buried underground at 55%. A little less than half, recycling accounts for 25%, whereas incineration forms the remaining 20%.
The most widespread method in the UK, like in Sweden, is burying, which comprises 82% of the total. Chemical treatment forms 8%, the same as dumping at sea. The percentage of incineration is a mere 2%.
