The line chart illustrates trends in the number and type of fast food (pizza, hamburger and fish and chips) consumed by Australian teenagers between 1975 and 2000.
Overall, hamburgers and pizza showed a sharp rise but remained stable over the period, while the amount of fish and chips experinced a downward trend. At the start of the period, fish and chips were the most popular fast food. Pizza and hamburgers were below 20 consumption in the beginning. However, hamburgers far outpaced the fish and chips in the end of the period.
With regards to the amount of hamburgers, it began at around 10 consumption and then dramatic increase about 100 consumption in 1995 and remained stable in 2000. Likewise, pizza was below 10 consumption at start of the period, followed by, it had a dramatic growth about 80 consumption in 1995 and a period of stable in 2000.
On the other hand, fish and chips only started in 1975 at about 100 consumption. This diagram shows it had a decreased about 85 consumption in 1980 and recovered about 90 consumption in 1985. However, it had a sharp decline in the following years and it had about 40 consumption in the end of the period.
