The report presents data regarding the value in Australian dollars of Australian trade with three different countries between 2004 and 2009.

Overall, it is clear that Australia had its highest trade with China in the final year, on the other hand, at first trade with Japan rose but it declined in the end. Whereas, Australia´s trade with the United States remains stable.

In general, data indicates that imports from each country starts at 20 billion dollars. However, import trade with China rapidly rose until 2008 and then this variation declined a little. The data reached the value of 30 billion Australian dollars. On the other hand, the value of imports from Japan remained almost same, a very little variation was seen. Moreover, the trade of imports with the USA had gradual fluctuations until final year.

Furthermore, export trade with China was the highest in comparison to other two nations. In 2004, trade with China started with more than 10 billion dollars and this figure soared to more than 35 billion dollars. Whereas, exports from Australia to Japan began from 20 billion dollars which rose to 30 billion in 2007, then this figure peak to more than 40 billion dollars but the data dove to 30 billion dollars. Therefore, export trade with the United States shows frequent fluctuations but the amount remains same until final year.
